Proposal for The Agency Gallery

Out of the Mouth of Babe examines the power and influence of political rhetoric, calling into question its foundation and principles (both morally and ideologically).

By focussing on the mouth, the audience are encouraged to contemplate how the ‘mouthpiece’ manipulates the electorate in the promotion of their political agenda.

Maryon Park is stained with the memory of a film: Blow Up (Michelangelo Antonioni, 1966) and by extension, another film; set in the same location and created by the artist herself, unpublished, incomplete and deleted, it exists only in her memory. The park’s association with both, has cast a spectre over my art practice since 2019.
